The BCIA is looking for your specialist insight
As an organisation that is always looking to improve professional development and career opportunities for new and existing industry professionals, the Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) is keen to hear feedback and opinions from its members on the state of qualifications in the sector.
The association is currently inviting people to fill out a quick survey that will detail members’ insights on current Level 6 (higher-level) qualification provision for the building controls and automation industry.
As in any industry, qualifications and training are absolutely vital, as supporting management and staff to help them obtain higher level qualifications can encourage talent attraction and retention. Additionally, it can provide higher level skills in any business to help support operational delivery.
So, if any members have employees that are currently, or have previously, undertaken Level 6 degree or degree apprenticeship qualifications, the BCIA is keen to hear from them to help them better understand what these programmes are.
BCIA President, Stacey Lucas, is keen for members to complete the survey to help further professional development in the industry. She said: “Qualifications, learning, and training play a vital role in any industry, and nowhere more so than the building controls and automation sector. Having the opportunity to better understand as many apprenticeship and qualification programmes is crucial, especially as the demand for smarter and more energy-efficient buildings ever-increases.
“We’d very much appreciate it if our members could complete the survey, or encourage their employees that have undertaken Level 6 qualifications to do so.
