About the Working Group

Working Group Chair:

The Technical Working Group is chaired by Ben Jenkins, 1 Control

The Technical Working Group is a central resource for the BCIA on all technical issues.  The group, powered by volunteers, act as a forum for developing a balanced BCIA view on key technical issues; is a group that leads on publishing technical guidance; they identify emerging technical and technological developments impacting the industry and work to develop information and learning programmes for members; input into standards and technical documents for other organisations or BCIA sections. 

Open to representatives in BCIA member companies only.

Corporate plan responsibilities

The Technical Working Group support:

  • Placing Controls at the heart of Policy discussions,

  • Raising awareness and understanding of controls in creating efficient buildings.

2025 Priorities

  • Reviewing and developing a comprehensive suite of BEMS Technical Guides

  • Planning a programme of Technical learning sessions

  • Delivering a programme of cyber-security information, advice and learning for members
