Introduction

Awarded to an end client/FM in-house individual or team who have made a long-term commitment to decarbonising a building or portfolio of buildings utilising BEMS. The individual or team will be able to demonstrate a clear and effective BEMS strategy that is delivering outstanding results.

Criteria for entry: 

• Open to end-client or facilities managers. 

• This award is not open to those in the supply chain responsible for specifying, designing or installing solutions nor those involved in service & maintenance. 

• Strategy will have been in delivery and results achieved within the 12 month period preceding the entry deadline. 

• The nominee will be able to describe clear objectives and targets and will be able to demonstrate how the application of BEMS and associated technology is helping to achieve this.  

The judges will be looking for evidence of:  

• How the strategy meets the needs of the client and delivers on sustainability and energy targets.  

• How the strategy and implementation is innovative.  

• The outcomes and impact of the strategy.  

• How they have used BEMS or associated technologies and equipment.  

• Evidence of long-term commitment to sustainability through the use of BEMS and other technologies.  

• Manufacturer or installer satisfaction in the form of testimonials – these are viewed as particularly important.
