Introduction

Awarded in recognition of the building controls and/or Building Energy Management System (BEMS) Company that is able to demonstrate implementation of best practice solutions relevant to the industry, where there is a commitment to understanding the needs of clients and other internal and external stakeholders.

Criteria

• Open to manufacturers, systems installers and master systems integrators, consultants, distributors etc. where building controls/BEMS is their main business. 

• The company has been operating for a minimum of 12 months preceding the entry deadline.  

• Examples and case studies must have been implemented within the 12 month period preceding the entry deadline. 

 The judges will be looking for evidence of:  

• Understanding and effectively interpreting client objectives in a progressive and solutions-led manner. 

• A recent (within the 12 month period preceding the entry deadline) case study where they have met client objectives on a specific project, including offering clear advice and guidance on building controls in terms of application, use and contribution to sustainability. 

• Commitment to developing their business culture, staff appreciation and communication. 

• Commitment to business progression and innovation. 

• Building controls and BEMS delivery at a high level of excellence with the ability to demonstrate how this has been achieved, the results and subsequent impact. 

• Client and external stakeholder satisfaction in the form of testimonials – these are viewed as particularly important.
